August 26, 2020, Women’s Equality Day, will mark 100 years since the adoption of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. NJ Women Vote will commemorate this significant anniversary by inviting New Jerseyans of all ages to celebrate the women who have led and continue to lead our state government.
The Women’s Equality Day celebration, co-sponsored by the New Jersey Division on Women (a division of the Department of Children and Families), will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the New Jersey Capitol Complex in Trenton, NJ and include a program of speakers and performances as well as suffrage-inspired activities, special tours of the State House, and refreshments.
Through the Women’s Equality Day celebration, we hope to not only feature and learn from leaders in our state, but to inspire the next generation of civically engaged women. Save the date and please join us!
