Somerville’s Suffrage Stories “Open Grounds”

September 12 at 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

During Downtown Somerville’s Show Your Local Love Event visit for “open grounds” as we share Somerville’s suffrage stories from the delegates to the Provincial Congress of New Jersey that granted limited women’s suffrage in 1776 to the politicians and activists from New Jersey who secured the Nineteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States 100 years ago. Our pop-exhibit features “Rightfully Hers” from the National Archives with our own local historical interpretation.

Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage State Historic Sites are blocks away from Somerset Hall, #87 on the New Jersey Women’s Heritage Trail. Stop in Somerville as part of your Suffrage “Solo” Slow Roll with NJ Women Vote.

Rescheduled from August 29, 2020 due to expected thunderstorms.
