Honoring the Hard-Won Fight for Votes for Women

The Durand-Hedden House, Maplewood’s historic house museum, will honor the 100th anniversary of Women’s Suffrage with an extensively researched exhibit on the history of the battle for votes for women in NJ and the US by both white and black women and men, and a compelling presentation by Alisa Dupuy, who will interpret Alice Paul, the NJ suffragist, and her role in achieving passage of the 19th Amendment. The event is on Sunday, March 15 from 1 to 4 pm.
