Greater New Brunswick Area League of Women Voters “Reclaiming Our Voice” Event

January 6 at 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

CELEBRATE WITH US!

It’s the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and women’s constitutional right to vote, AND it’s the 2nd year anniversary of the Greater New Brunswick Area League of Women Voters!

Join the Greater New Brunswick Area League of Women Voters and the Middlesex-Somerset Chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) on January 6, 2020, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Franklin Township Public Library for a special event featuring “Reclaiming Our Voice: New Jersey’s Role in the Fight for Woman Suffrage.” Professional storyteller and independent historian, Carol Simon Levin, will portray Lillian Feickert, president of the NJ Woman Suffrage Association from 1912-1920 and explore the overlooked role of New Jersey in the fight for women’s suffrage. A Q&A will follow. Refreshments will be served.

Register to attend at the library’s Events & Meetings Calendar: www.franklintwp.org.
