Crazy quilts, in vogue from 1875 to 1900, showcased women’s creativity and economy through the use of dressmaking scraps stitched together for a decorative addition to any room. The quilts were one of the first fads driven by national ladies’ periodicals. Morris County Historical Society Curator of Collections Anne Motto will talk about the quilts displayed in a summer bedroom of the 1890s on Sunday, Sept. 13, at 1:30 p.m. For more information, visit MorrisCountyHistory.org.
